CEEDD (Chaire de l’Éducation à l’Éco-citoyenneté et au Développement Durable). Hosted at Saint-Joseph University, CEEDD aims to rethink models of behaviour that are capable of rebuilding harmony between citizens and nature.
How to boost the energy of the citizens and motivate them to act with responsibility?
How to make them aware of environmental and citizen issues? Inform them of the risks that the country incurs at this level? Provide them with just and appropriate solutions? How can we galvanize the younger generations to take charge of their environment?
This conceptual and behavioral awareness and development can only be achieved through Education, which is a holistic concept, addressing the totality of the person in his / her knowledge: know-how, anticipate, participate; A concept where man, in all its dimensions, is an integral part of his environment.
In response to this urgent need, the CEEDD was created by the “Diane Foundation” in October 2015.
The CEECDD is an interdisciplinary platform dedicated to environmental issues using an integrative approach. It is distinguished by the close links it establishes between citizenship and sustainable development. It acts as a meeting point between the various local structures dealing with these themes and aiming for international collaboration.
