In Lebanon, waste management has emerged as a significant environmental challenge, one that demands immediate attention and sustainable solutions.
Fondation Diane has taken this matter seriously and is at the forefront of tackling this waste management issue in the region. Through our dedicated efforts, flagship initiatives such as the “Waste Diversion Management Consortium”, the 1st waste diversion Pilot Project in Lebanon – Hazmieh, “USJ Verte”, and innovative projects such as the CSP (Community Support Program), as well as trainings on the sustainable management of waste for communities, schools, and municipalities, we are committed to fostering a culture of responsible waste disposal and recycling.
Our initiatives aim to transform waste management practices by implementing efficient recycling systems, promoting waste reduction, and raising awareness about the importance of preserving the environment. With a strong focus on diverting waste from landfills and promoting the benefits of sorting at source, we are working diligently to create a cleaner and healthier Lebanon, where the impact of waste on our precious land and water resources is minimized.
